Character background and lore

Cinderella is a Nikke belonging to the Old Tales squad, a group of second-generation Grimm models developed during the early years of the war against the Raptures. She is notably linked to Hansel, Gretel, Red Shoes and the Little Mermaid.

She was created by Abe, the scientist who would later become known as Grave. Cinderella was designed as an extremely advanced Nikke, intended to join and support the legendary Goddess Squad.

However, her journey takes a tragic turn before she can even fulfil this mission. Following events linked to the Raptures, Cinderella is corrupted and becomesthe Heretic Anachiro, a figure who strikes fear into the hearts of humanity. The OLD TALES event recounts in detail her origins, her downfall and the circumstances surrounding this transformation.

Cinderella’s story is deeply intertwined with the themes of fairy tales. She places great importance on beauty, which she uses almost as a personal philosophy to judge both the people around her and the actions and ideals that surround her.

Before her downfall, one of her main ambitions was to stand alongside the Goddess Squad, whom she had admired since childhood. This desire to become a heroine makes her fate as Anachiro all the more tragic.

Her weapon is called Glass Slippers, a further direct reference to the tale of Cinderella and the character’s overall visual identity.

Cinderella now occupies a major place in NIKKE’s lore, and her popularity amongst players has grown even further through the events dedicated to Old Tales. She also won the NIKKE Global Popularity Poll IV, which earned her an official event dedicated to choosing a new costume.

This Noodle Stopper figurine offers a calmer and more compact interpretation of the character, contrasting with the particularly dramatic story surrounding Cinderella and her past as Anachiro.
