Character background and lore

Alice is a Nikke belonging to the Unlimited squad, a unit specialising in protecting frozen regions and rescuing Nikkes who have gone missing in these particularly hostile areas.

She is characterised by a deeply imaginative personality. Alice constantly interprets the world around her as if it were a fairy tale, transforming the people, places and even the dangers she encounters into elements of her own wondrous world.

Before becoming a Nikke, Alice spent much of her human life in hospital. Isolated from the outside world, she imagined that everything beyond the hospital walls must be marvellous and filled with happiness. This way of seeing the world has remained deeply ingrained in her personality.

Following her transformation into a Nikke, she continues to perceive reality through this imaginative lens. In particular, she nicknames the Commander ‘Rabbity’ and regards the Queen of the Raptures as the ‘Heart Queen’, whom she wishes to defeat in order to reach the wondrous world of her dreams.

The world of GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE is, however, far from being a fairy tale. Humanity has been driven from the surface by the Raptures and forced to live underground, whilst the Nikkes represent its main hope of one day regaining control of the planet.

It is precisely this contrast between the harshness of the NIKKE world and Alice’s almost childlike outlook that makes her such a unique character. Whilst other fighters approach their missions with cynicism or resignation, Alice retains a remarkable ability to transform the most difficult situations into extraordinary adventures.

This Yumemirize figurine captures her personality particularly well: rather than emphasising her role as a fighter, it highlights the dreamy, gentle and whimsical side that defines Alice within the Unlimited squad.
