Character background and lore

Frieren is an elf mage over a thousand years old who was part of the group of heroes who defeated the Demon King. Alongside the hero Himmel, the priest Heiter and the dwarf warrior Eisen, she embarks on a ten-year adventure that restores peace to the world. For an elf with exceptional longevity, however, this decade represents only a brief period of her existence.

When Frieren is reunited with her former companions several decades later and finally witnesses Himmel’s death, she realises how little time she had spent truly understanding the humans who travelled with her. This event becomes the starting point for a new journey during which she seeks to better understand human beings and their feelings.

She now travels with Fern, a young mage she has taken on as her apprentice, and Stark, a disciple of Eisen. The three of them are heading for Aureole, the land where souls rest, whilst meeting new people, fighting demons and monsters, and revisiting places linked to Frieren’s first journey. This Loungefly mini rucksack is modelled directly on the elf’s appearance, right down to the charm replicating her magic staff.
