Character background and universe (Lore)
In the cult and ruthless universe of Fist of the North Star (known in France as Ken the Survivor), the Earth has been ravaged by a global nuclear war, transforming the planet into a barren wasteland where the law of the jungle reigns. Amidst this chaos and the tyranny of marauding gangs, Kenshiro stands as the 64th successor to Hokuto Shinken, a millennia-old martial art of assassination based on the internal destruction of the body by pressing vital points (tsubo).
Despite the terrifying power of his techniques, capable of causing his enemies to explode from within, Kenshiro is a deeply good man, guided by sorrow and love, who has chosen to put his strength at the service of the oppressed and the innocent. Wandering alone in search of his kidnapped fiancée, Yuria, he faces off against the masters of the rival Nanto Seiken schools and his own corrupt brothers-in-arms. His unwavering righteousness and his iconic phrase "Omae wa mou shindeiru" (You are already dead) have made him one of the most legendary and respected heroes in the history of manga.
