Add a retro-futuristic touch to your Fallout collection with this Funko POP! Games No. 1317 – Nuka-Girl figurine. Inspired by one of the most recognisable advertising mascots from the Nuka-Cola universe, this new version puts Nuka-Girl back in the spotlight in a stylised pose true to the POP! aesthetic.
Nuka-Girl is a fictional advertising mascot associated with Nuka-Cola, the famous soft drink brand that is ubiquitous throughout the Fallout universe. Her design draws directly on American retro-futuristic imagery from the 1950s, with a space-age pin-up and pulp science fiction aesthetic.
In the world of Fallout, Nuka-Cola was one of the most powerful brands before the Great War. The company used numerous mascots, advertising campaigns and attractions to promote its drinks, and Nuka-Girl particularly embodies this optimistic and spectacular vision of space exploration.
The character is usually depicted wearing a form-fitting space suit, a transparent helmet and a pistol inspired by retro science-fiction weapons. This visual identity fits perfectly with Fallout’s characteristic blend of advanced technology, 1950s design and satire of consumer society.
Nuka-Girl thus holds a special place amongst the franchise’s icons: she is not a traditional protagonist, but rather a symbol of the pre-war world’s popular culture and advertising, just like Vault Boy or the Nuka-Cola mascots.
