DRAGON BALL Z - Majin Buu (Good) - Figure Match Makers 2/2 20cm

From Dragon Ball Z, this Banpresto figurine depicts Majin Buu (Good), the benevolent form of the Majin, also recognisable by his round silhouette and his special bond with Mr Satan. Part of the MATCH MAKERS collection, it is the second half of a pair designed to be displayed opposite Majin Buu (Pure) – Match Makers 1/2. The figurine stands approximately 20 cm tall and is made from PVC.

Majin Buu is depicted in the thick of the action, his body lunging forwards, both fists clenched and one leg raised, as if in the heat of his battle with his original form. His tense face, with clenched teeth, contrasts sharply with the usually more carefree expression of this incarnation. The sculpture captures his pink skin, his distinctive protrusion on the top of his skull and the small black pores visible on his head and arms.

His iconic outfit is reproduced with his loose-fitting white trousers, his black belt featuring a gold buckle bearing the ‘M’ symbol, his yellow gloves and boots, and his black waistcoat edged in gold. A large purple cape, tied around his neck, billows out behind him, accentuating the sense of movement in the pose.

The ‘2/2’ designation does not refer to a scale, but rather indicates the second figure in a set comprising two items sold separately. When paired with Majin Buu (Pure) Match Makers 1/2, this piece allows you to recreate their direct confrontation. The manufacturer specifically presents this ‘Good’ version as the counterpart to Majin Buu (Pure).

Character background and universe (Lore)

Majin Buu (Good) is the benevolent side of Majin Buu. During the final arc of Dragon Ball Z, the Majin gradually begins to change through his interactions with Mr Satan, with whom he develops a genuine friendship. However, when Mr Satan is shot, Buu’s anger causes his evil component to separate, triggering a series of transformations that lead to the emergence of Super Buu.

Later, when Vegito enters Super Buu’s body and frees the absorbed warriors, Majin Buu (Good) is also separated. The disappearance of this component then causes Buu to revert to his original form, Majin Buu (Pure), a far more unpredictable and destructive incarnation.

The two forms thus end up standing directly opposed to one another. This MATCH MAKERS pair is specifically designed around this face-off: Majin Buu (Good) adopts an offensive stance against Majin Buu (Pure), bringing together visually the two radically different facets of the same being.
