Origin and universe of the characters
This superb relief figurine is directly inspired by Son Goku’s childhood in the masterpiece Dragon Ball, created by the late master Akira Toriyama. Found in the wild mountains when he was just a feisty Saiyan baby, the young Goku is raised by the old martial arts master, Grandpa Son Gohan. It is from this kind and protective man that the boy learns the values of kindness and respect, as well as the basics of hand-to-hand combat, also inheriting the famous magic staff (Nyoibo) and the mystical four-star ball.
This exceptional collector’s item captures a touching moment that perfectly symbolises the love and brotherly bond between the child and his adoptive grandfather. The sculpture meticulously highlights the intricate details of the old man’s traditional Chinese attire, his traditional fox mask fastened in place, young Goku’s unique spiky hairstyle, and his characteristic little monkey tail. The care taken with the cheerful and sincere expressions on their faces makes this a powerful must-have tribute for long-time fans wishing to celebrate the roots of the saga.
