Origin and background of the character
Set in the heart of the French capital, the animated feature film Ratatouille follows the adventures of Remy, a young rat with an exceptionally keen sense of smell and taste. Refusing to settle for the life of a mere rodent, his ultimate dream is to become a master chef at Auguste Gusteau’s prestigious restaurant. By secretly teaming up with the young kitchen assistant Alfredo Linguini, Remy performs culinary miracles in the kitchen by manipulating his movements from beneath his chef’s hat. Funko’s “Deluxe” format captures the film’s climactic moment, where the young prodigy prepares his sublime version of the traditional ratatouille dish—a meticulously crafted must-have sculpture to celebrate the magic of this animated masterpiece.
