Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Released in 1992, Disney's masterpiece is based on the famous tale of the Arabian Nights. Prisoner of his marvellous lamp hidden in the heart of the Cave of Wonders for ten thousand years, the Genie is a cosmic entity endowed with phenomenal powers capable of altering reality, granting three wishes for his master and chaining metamorphoses and anachronisms together at a frantic pace. Freed by Aladdin, a young thief from Agrabah with a big heart, the Genie develops a sincere and deep friendship with him, a far cry from the usual relationship between a magical servant and his owner. This figurine immortalises his cult appearance, a symbol of joy, magic and new-found freedom.
