This FIGURIZMα figurine from SEGA Goods depicts Tengen Uzui, the flamboyant Sound Pillar from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Made from PVC and standing approximately 15 cm tall, it depicts the character in a particularly dynamic fighting pose, directly inspired by his battles during the Entertainment District arc.
Tengen is depicted in a low, wide-open stance, with his arms outstretched on either side of his body as he brandishes his two imposing Nichirin blades. His black, sleeveless outfit reveals his muscular build, complemented by his golden arm guards, red bands around his legs and traditional sandals. His stone-studded headband and the beaded chains framing his face capture several of the most distinctive details of his appearance.
The sculpture also makes use of the long strips of white fabric attached to his headdress, which extend behind the figure to accentuate the sense of speed and movement. Her two black and gold sabres are reproduced with their distinctive, broad shapes, whilst their wide-spread arrangement gives the figurine a spectacular silhouette despite its compact size.
SEGA’s FIGURIZMα range emphasises the expressiveness of the sculpture, the finish and the colour scheme, with particular attention paid to the characters’ posing. This version of Tengen Uzui embodies these principles perfectly, with an offensive stance, a determined expression and a composition designed to capture his fighting style, which is as powerful as it is theatrical.

Character background and lore
Tengen Uzui is one of the most powerful members of the Demon Slayer Corps and holds the rank of Pillar of Sound. A former shinobi, he rejected the particularly brutal way of life imposed by his clan and subsequently developed a deliberately flamboyant personality, appreciating all things spectacular and ‘flashy’. The official Demon Slayer website describes him precisely as a former shinobi who became the Pillar of Sound, with a penchant for all things flashy.
He plays a central role during the Pleasure Quarter arc, when he leads Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira on a mission to investigate the Yoshiwara district. The mission leads them to face Daki and Gyutaro, the two demons who share the rank of Upper Moon Six. This confrontation becomes one of the series’ major battles and particularly highlights Tengen’s power, resilience and experience.
His fighting style perfectly matches his personality. Tengen uses two large Nichirin blades linked by a chain and combines his shinobi skills with his Breath of Sound to fight with speed and power. The FIGURIZMα figurine accurately captures this aspect of the character, depicting him with both weapons drawn, in a pose reminiscent of the clashes in the Pleasure Quarter.
Following this battle, Tengen lost his left arm and his left eye and stepped down from his post as a Pillar. He nevertheless continued to support the Corps of Exterminators and was notably involved in training the fighters during the Pillar Training arc, where he took charge of their basic physical conditioning.
