Character background and lore
In the film Deadpool & Wolverine, we discover a particularly tormented alternate version of Logan. Broken by the tragedies of his own universe and consumed by a deep sense of shame, this Wolverine has chosen to isolate himself from the rest of the world. Far from the image of the triumphant hero, he is weighed down by his traumas and regrets, convinced that he has let down everyone who relied on him.
It is then that his path crosses that of the irreverent Wade Wilson, alias Deadpool. Despite obvious reluctance and explosive initial clashes, Logan finds himself forced to team up with the talkative mercenary. Together, they embark on a desperate mission across the multiverse to ensure their shared survival, offering this wild and tormented Wolverine an unexpected chance to finally find redemption.
