Origin and character’s universe
Hailing from the terrifying alternate reality of the comic book series *Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Batman – Knightfall*, published by DC Comics, Saint Batman embodies a corrupt and ruthless version of Gotham’s saviour. In this tragic timeline, Jean-Paul Valley (Azrael) retains the Dark Knight’s cape after defeating Bane, refusing to return it to Bruce Wayne. Having become the city’s absolute and tyrannical ruler under the name Saint Batman, he imposes a violent, theocratic regime for thirty years, using surgical and cruel methods to eradicate crime once and for all. Wearing highly technological and stylised bat-armour, he symbolises the extremist excesses of justice. This Funko Pop! figurine faithfully recreates the imposing, solemn and menacing design of this dark figure from the Dark Multiverse, establishing itself as a must-have for all fans of Gotham City lore.
