DANGANRONPA 1.2 RELOAD - Junko Enoshima - Figure 19cm

From Danganronpa 1•2 Reload, this Banpresto figurine depicts Junko Enoshima, one of the central characters in the universe created by Spike Chunsoft. Standing approximately 19 cm tall, it captures Junko’s iconic appearance in a particularly expressive pose.

Junko is depicted with her long blonde pigtails with pinkish highlights, spread wide around her head to emphasise the sculpture’s movement. She wears her signature outfit, consisting of a black jacket trimmed with white, a red bow, a red pleated skirt and a long black and white tie. The small accessories in her hair, along with her tall dark boots with red laces, complete her look.

The figurine strikes a dynamic pose, with her arms raised on either side of her face and her legs spread apart, emphasising the character’s theatrical and extravagant nature. This non-articulated figurine is designed for display and fits naturally into a collection dedicated to the characters of Danganronpa.

Character background and lore

Junko Enoshima appears in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, the first instalment included in Danganronpa 1•2 Reload. The story is set mainly at Hope’s Peak Academy, a school attended by secondary school pupils, each of whom possesses an exceptional talent. The students find themselves locked away there and forced by Monokuma to take part in a deadly game in which they must investigate each crime and identify the culprit during class trials.

Junko is initially introduced as the Ultimate Fashionista, a pupil whose appearance and sense of style are directly linked to her talent, as recognised by Hope’s Peak Academy. Her long pigtails, her heavily customised uniform and her Monokuma-inspired accessories are thus integral parts of her design.

Her role, however, goes far beyond that of a mere pupil: Junko is deeply associated with the concept of Ultimate Despair, a major element of the Danganronpa mythology. This connection to despair and its significance in the events surrounding Hope’s Peak Academy make her one of the franchise’s most recurring and recognisable figures. Indeed, Good Smile Company officially presents her under the title ‘Ultimate Despair’ in its Danganronpa 1•2 Reload licensed merchandise.
