Origin and character universe
Adapted from the famousChild’s Play film franchise created by Don Mancini, the Chucky TV series, launched in 2021, continues the story of the famousGood Guy doll possessed by the spirit of serial killer Charles Lee Ray. During the third season, set in the heart of the White House, Chucky must contend with a curse of accelerated ageing caused by a loss of divine favour. In an attempt to regain his former youth and power, the spirit of Charles Lee Ray orchestrates new, complex voodoo rituals. This desperate quest spawns nightmarish and experimental incarnations in the real world, giving rise to the anthropomorphic and ultra-muscular version known as Buff Chucky. This version pushes the boundaries of the ridiculous and the terrifying, establishing itself as one of the series’ most memorable physical avatars.
