See Batman as he appears at the start of the 2023 film *The Flash* with this MAFEX No. 293 articulated figure produced by Medicom Toy. Standing approximately 16 cm tall, this edition accurately depicts Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Bruce Wayne, wearing the new suit used for his final appearance in the role within this DC cinematic universe.
The figure reproduces Batman’s new dark armour with its various textures, protective plates, utility belt and mask with red lenses. Medicom Toy has paid particular attention to the variations between the armoured surfaces and the fabric-like elements to capture the highly technical appearance of the suit seen in *The Flash*.
Like other MAFEX releases, Batman features advanced articulation, allowing for a wide range of combat poses. Three interchangeable heads are included, along with several hands and various accessories inspired by his kit, including Batarangs and a grappling gun. The cape is made of fabric and incorporates elements that allow it to be shaped in different ways to complement dynamic poses.
A MAFEX articulated stand is also provided to hold the figure in positions that would be difficult to achieve without assistance, such as mid-air poses or those at extreme angles. With its compact size and numerous accessories, this version is suitable for both neutral display and scenes inspired by the film’s action sequences.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Bruce Wayne is Batman, Gotham City’s vigilante, who possesses no supernatural powers but boasts exceptional physical training, remarkable strategic intelligence and a vast technological arsenal. In this cinematic continuity, he has been portrayed by Ben Affleck since *Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice*, before returning in *Justice League*, *Zack Snyder’s Justice League* and *The Flash*.
Following the events of Batman v Superman, Bruce gradually regains his faith in the heroes’ ability to protect the world. Inspired by Superman’s sacrifice, he works with Diana Prince to bring together Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash within the Justice League to face a global threat.
In *The Flash*, Bruce has become both an ally and a role model for Barry Allen. Ben Affleck reprises this incarnation of Batman one last time at the start of the film, notably during a major operation in Gotham. DC describes this appearance as the return of his Batman for one final adventure, complete with a new motorbike and a suit specially designed for the film.
The heart of *The Flash* then centres on Barry’s decision to use his powers to alter the past and prevent his mother’s death. However, this change disrupts the timeline and propels him into a different reality, where the Bruce Wayne he knows no longer exists in the same form. Barry then encounters an older version of Batman, played by Michael Keaton, who has long since retired from the fight against crime.
