Origin and character’s universe
Aang is the central protagonist of the famous animated series *Avatar:The Last Airbender*, created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko for Nickelodeon in 2005. As the last survivor of the Air Nomads, Aang is the Avatar, a unique entity capable of mastering the four elements — Air, Water, Earth and Fire — whose mission is to maintain global harmony and prevent the warlike Fire Nation from enslaving the planet. Awakened from a century-long slumber inside an iceberg, this cheerful, peace-loving and mischievous young boy must come to terms with his heavy destiny as a saviour. He embarks on his long journey of discovery alongside his friends from the Water Tribe and his mascot Momo, an intelligent and playful winged lemur discovered in the ruins of the Southern Air Temple, who provides him with comforting support throughout his spiritual and martial quest.
