Discover Lumitea, the angelic-type Dears from the Arcanadea collection, with this First Engage Ver. model kit designed by Kotobukiya. This new edition captures the character’s elegance in a simplified version, specially designed to make assembly more accessible whilst improving several aspects of the sculpting and articulation.

Once assembled, Lumitea stands approximately 16 cm tall. She wears her signature white and gold outfit, consisting of a flowing dress, angelic armour and articulated ribbons around her waist. Her large white wings are attached to a magic circle on her back, creating an ethereal silhouette inspired by both fantasy and science fiction.

The First Engage version focuses exclusively on Lumitea’s Normal Mode. By omitting the parts required for the full transformation into Wilize Mode, Kotobukiya has reduced the number of components and made assembly easier. The arrangement of the parts has also been revised to minimise visible assembly lines, particularly on the fringe and legs.

The elbow joints now utilise a double-jointed structure, whilst the knees have been redesigned to maintain a more natural appearance when bent. The wings feature new 3 mm ball joints and the waist straps have dual ball joints, offering greater freedom to create dynamic or more relaxed poses.

Two pre-painted faces are included. Their eye designs are inspired by the animated version ofArcanadea and offer a different look to that of the first Lumitea model kit. The set also includes eleven pairs of PVC hands, including hands forming a heart or the victory sign, as well as a sword redesigned to match its appearance in the anime.

The parts are moulded in multiple colours, allowing for a result close to the illustrations without the need for painting. A display stand is provided to stabilise the figure and showcase her wings. More experienced modellers can, however, paint, modify and combine Lumitea with other compatible Kotobukiya products.

Origin and character’s universe

Arcanadea is an original collection from Kotobukiya combining fantasy elements with a science-fiction universe. It features the Dears, creatures encountered via a mysterious virtual platform. By establishing an ‘Engage’ with them, their partner can forge a special bond and unlock new abilities.

Lumitea is a Dears associated with the element of light and possesses an angelic appearance. Her original design was conceived by the illustrator necömi, known for her character designs for video games and VTubers. Her wings, her white and gold outfit, and her magic circle reflect a radiant and benevolent personality.

Normal Mode represents her usual appearance, whilst Wilize Mode corresponds to a more fully-equipped combat configuration. This First Engage edition deliberately prioritises her normal form in order to offer a simpler and more accessible initial assembly experience.

The name of this version refers to the iconic phrase associated with Lumitea: ‘Will you engage with me?’. It evokes the moment when the player or model-builder establishes their first connection with the character and enters the world ofArcanadea.
