Origin and background of the character
Yaiba Kurogane is the main protagonist, a fiery yet endearing character from the Yaiba series, an action-adventure manga with a touch of humour created by the legendary Gosho Aoyama (the famous author of Detective Conan). Raised by his father in the wild jungle to become the strongest samurai in the world, Yaiba arrives in Japan with a completely unconventional fighting style and boundless energy. His life is turned upside down when he becomes the sworn rival of Takeshi Onimaru and comes into possession of the Sword of the God of Thunder (Rujin-ken), a mythical magical weapon powered by sacred orbs.
Accompanied by his faithful tiger Kagetora, Yaiba travels across the country to perfect his swordsmanship and save the world from demonic forces. This 10 cm figurine perfectly captures the young hero’s polished, retro aesthetic, faithfully recreating his spiky ponytail, traditional combat outfit and determined expression in full stride. It is an essential piece for celebrating the golden age of adventure manga and echoing his feline companion.
