Boost your team of mutants with Bishop, featured here in his X-Corp outfit with this Funko Marvel POP! figure No. 1608. Inspired by the animated series X-Men ’97, this version depicts the time traveller ready to harness his powers in an attempt to alter the future from which he hails.
The figure captures the character’s key features, including his short black hair, beard and the famous ‘M’-shaped mark surrounding his right eye. Bishop wears a yellow and black jumpsuit featuring the X-Men symbol on his belt, straps across his chest and reinforced leg guards. This contrasting outfit matches his X-Corp appearance within the series’ universe.
Both his fists are enveloped in translucent pink and purple energy effects. These raised details illustrate his ability to absorb different forms of energy before storing them and projecting them at his opponents. His broad stance and slightly outstretched arms give Bishop a particularly dynamic presence despite the stylised format of the POP! collection.
Made from vinyl, the figure measures approximately 11.2 cm and features a spring-loaded head, like the other Marvel models in the range. It comes in an illustrated window box bearing the X-Men ’97 logo and the number 1608, allowing it to be displayed with or without its packaging.
Lucas Bishop is a mutant from a dystopian future in which mutants have suffered persecution and oppression at the hands of the Sentinels. Trained as a combatant and officer, he travels back in time to prevent the events that led to the destruction of his era and eventually joins the X-Men.
His power enables him to absorb various forms of energy directed at him, store them temporarily and then release them as powerful bursts. This ability makes him a particularly resilient opponent against energy-based attacks, although there are limits to the amount he can contain.
In X-Men ’97, Bishop plays a key role in the storylines involving time travel. After several X-Men members were scattered across different eras, he attempts to travel through time to improve the future from which he came. This POP! X-Corp figure is directly linked to this quest, depicting Bishop ready to use his powers to find his allies and prevent another temporal catastrophe.
