Origin and background of the character
Adapted from the famous, hit Broadway musical – itself inspired by L. Frank Baum’s timeless classic – the blockbuster film Wicked offers a profound reimagining of the fantastical story of the Land of Oz prior to the fateful arrival of young Dorothy Gale. Dorothy is a dreamy little girl from Kansas who finds herself swept away by a tornado into a magical and mysterious world. Wearing her ruby slippers and accompanied by her little dog Toto, she follows the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City to seek the Wizard’s help, befriending a Scarecrow, a Tin Man and a Cowardly Lion. Through the unique perspective of the Wicked saga, her arrival upends the political balance and the story of the witches Elphaba and Glinda. This Funko Pop! figurine captures the innocence and determination of this iconic heroine of global pop culture.
