Character background and universe (Lore)
In Transformers mythology, Tailgate was originally a humble Cybertronian worker who found himself enlisted in the Autobot faction somewhat by force of circumstance. Endowed with a vivid imagination, great candour and a natural tendency to exaggerate his own past exploits to impress his peers, he remains nonetheless an ally of unwavering loyalty, ready to face threats far greater than himself. Thrown into the backdrop of the Age of the Primes saga, he embodies the perspective of the ordinary soldier confronted with the millennia-old secrets and divine powers of the original Primes. This figure celebrates one of his most successful and eagerly anticipated modern depictions, a must-have for all collectors keen to bolster the ranks of their Autobot scouts.
