TRANSFORMERS - Optimus Prime & Starscream - Figure Timeline 12.5cm

TRANSFORMERS – Optimus Prime & Starscream – Timelines Samurai Figures 12.5/14 cm

Discover Optimus Prime and Starscream in a whole new light with this Transformers Timelines set from Hasbro. This edition transports the two iconic adversaries into an alternative timeline inspired by the world of samurai warriors, featuring new designs, new alternate modes and accessories specially designed for this interpretation.

Optimus Prime stands approximately 14 cm tall and sports armour reminiscent of a samurai’s. He can be transformed from robot mode into a buffalo-drawn chariot in 27 steps. He comes with a naginata spear, which can be used across his various modes. Starscream, measuring approximately 12.5 cm, abandons his traditional aeroplane mode to transform into a falcon in 20 steps, reinforcing the unique identity of this alternative timeline.

Starscream also features a Tengu fan and two flintlock pistols, whilst both figures have multiple points of articulation, allowing for a variety of poses for play or display. Hasbro presents this set as a complete reinterpretation of the characters rather than a reproduction of a version from a specific animated series or film.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Optimus Prime and Starscream have been iconic Transformers characters since the franchise’s earliest generations: Optimus is traditionally the leader of the Autobots, whilst Starscream is one of the principal Decepticons and is generally depicted as an aerial combatant. The Transformers franchise made its global debut in 1984, centring on characters who have since become iconic, such as Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee and Starscream.

The Transformers Timelines range allows Hasbro to take these characters beyond their usual portrayals by exploring alternative realities. For this set, Hasbro explicitly describes a different universe set in the world of samurai warriors. Optimus Prime retains his role as an imposing fighter but takes the form of a buffalo cart, whilst Starscream takes the form of a falcon instead of his traditional aerial vehicle.

This version is therefore not intended to replicate a specific appearance from a Transformers television series or film: it constitutes an independent reinterpretation of the two characters, built around a samurai aesthetic and alternative modes created specifically for this Timelines line.
