Origin and universe of the character
Aired in the late 1990s, the cult CGI animated series Animutants (Transformers: Beast Wars) radically reimagined the lore of Hasbro’s famous franchise. The plot follows the distant descendants of the Autobots and Decepticons who have washed up on a prehistoric Earth. To protect themselves from the radiation of raw energon, the robots take on the forms of local organic creatures. Blackarachnia was originally a Maximal protoform whose capsule had been captured by the Predacons. Reprogrammed by Tarantulas, she awoke as a formidable spy loyal to Megalon, taking the form of a particularly venomous black widow spider. Deadly, independent and possessing a sharp intellect, she constantly navigates between internal betrayals and her own quest for freedom before making her mark on the series’ history through her evolution. This Funko Pop! figure captures her iconic combat robot appearance with remarkable fidelity, establishing itself as an essential nostalgic collectable for all fans of this legendary era of the saga.
