Origin and world of the character
Konjiki no Yami (literally "The Golden Shadow"), colloquially known as Yami, is one of the most iconic and popular characters in the sci-fi comedy manga To Love-Ru and its dark fantasy sequel, To Love-Ru Darkness, written by Saki Hasemi and masterfully illustrated by Kentaro Yabuki. Yami is a fearsome, impassive extraterrestrial hitwoman of intergalactic renown, initially sent to Earth to eliminate the protagonist, Rito Yuki. What sets her apart is a unique biological ability called "Trans-Mutation", which allows her to transform any part of her body into destructive weapons, using her long blonde hair as sharp blades or steel fists. This action figure from the "Trio-Try-It" range makes a bold departure from her usual black outfit to depict her in a chic white summer dress, revealing a more relaxed, human side to the assassin without betraying her characteristic piercing gaze.
