Explore the kingdom of Hyrule even during your breaks with this The Legend of Zelda “Map Silhouette” thermo-reactive mug from Pyramid International. With a capacity of 315 ml, this black ceramic mug conceals part of its design when cold, before revealing a stylised map of Hyrule when in contact with a hot drink.
At room temperature, the design features Link riding Epona, accompanied by The Legend of Zelda logo. As the mug warms up, the thermochromic coating changes appearance and gradually reveals the map in the background, creating a more detailed design around the hero.

Hyrule forms the central setting for many of the adventures in The Legend of Zelda. Across different eras and incarnations, Link takes on the role of the hero tasked with protecting the kingdom and Princess Zelda from the forces that threaten them. Nintendo’s official chronology thus brings together several periods in Hyrule’s history and different versions of its characters and lands.
At the heart of this mythology lies the Triforce, a sacred artefact comprising the three powers bestowed by the goddesses Din, Nayru and Farore: Power, Wisdom and Courage. Link is traditionally associated with the Triforce of Courage, Zelda with the Triforce of Wisdom and Ganondorf with the Triforce of Power.
The equestrian silhouette chosen for this mug also evokes Epona, Link’s famous steed who has appeared in several instalments of the series. Nintendo describes her, in particular, as the hero’s faithful steed. Together with the heat-revealed map of Hyrule, Link and his horse thus reinforce the theme of journey and exploration, two recurring elements of the series.
