Released in 2008 and directed by Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight is the second instalment in the trilogy that began with Batman Begins. Christian Bale reprises the role of Bruce Wayne / Batman, alongside Heath Ledger as the Joker, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent, Gary Oldman as James Gordon, Michael Caine as Alfred and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.
In the film, Batman continues his fight against organised crime with the help of Lieutenant Gordon and the new District Attorney, Harvey Dent. Their efforts begin to undermine Gotham’s criminal networks, but the arrival of the Joker upsets this balance. The Joker escalates his attacks and manipulations in an attempt to plunge the city into chaos and force Batman, Dent and Gordon to question their own principles.
This incarnation of Batman also sports a new version of his suit. More segmented and more flexible than the armour used in *Batman Begins*, it allows Bruce to turn his head more freely whilst maintaining enhanced protection. The DAH-119 figure focuses specifically on this iconic look of Christian Bale’s Batman, featuring his black armour, fabric cape and several signature items from his arsenal.
