A former sheriff broken by grief, Jim Hopper has established himself as the indomitable protector of the town of Hawkins and Eleven's adoptive father. After narrowly surviving the explosion of the secret Soviet laboratory, he undergoes a terrible captivity in a gulag on the Kamchatka peninsula, where he must fight a sword-wielding Demogorgon to win his freedom. Back in Indiana, deeply emaciated but more determined than ever, Hopper reunites with Joyce Byers and prepares to lead the resistance against Vecna. In the fifth and final season, as theUpside Down merges apocalyptically with our reality, the old cop takes up arms again to protect his adopted family and deal the final blow to the forces of Darkness.
