Character background and universe (Lore)
In the Marvel universe, Peter Parker is a shy student with a passion for science whose life is turned upside down the day he is bitten by a radioactive spider. This bite grants him extraordinary superhuman powers, including strength proportional to that of a spider, exceptional agility, the ability to climb walls and a ‘spider-sense’ that alerts him to danger. Following the tragic loss of his Uncle Ben, he realises that with great power comes great responsibility. Under the guise of Spider-Man, he protects the citizens of New York from fearsome supervillains such as the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Venom, whilst trying to lead the life of an ordinary young man. This set of magnets celebrates the heroism and spectacular agility of pop culture’s most beloved web-slinger.
