South Park mainly follows Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, four children living in the fictional small town of South Park, Colorado. Since the series began in 1997, their adventures have seen them face everything from everyday problems to absurd, supernatural or deliberately extravagant events.
The four boys form the core of the series: Stan Marsh often plays the role of the most down-to-earth character, Kyle Broflovski stands out for his thoughtful nature, Eric Cartman for his self-centred and provocative behaviour, whilst Kenny McCormick is instantly recognisable by his orange parka and muffled voice.
The setting of South Park, with its mountains, pine forests and perpetually snow-covered landscapes, has become almost as iconic as the characters themselves. The town serves as the setting for most of the adventures and is home to a particularly vast cast of recurring characters. Indeed, the official website continues to present Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny as the four central figures of this universe.
This 325 ml South Park Forest mug directly draws on this visual identity by bringing the four heroes together in their town’s characteristic winter landscape.
