Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Mighty the Armadillo is a historical character first introduced in 1993 in the Sega arcade game Sonic the Hedgehog, before making his mark in Knuckles' Chaotix on 32X and then making a triumphant return in Sonic Mania Plus. A great nature-loving traveller and a pacifist at heart, this armadillo hates violence but knows how to display extraordinary raw physical power when the situation calls for it. Thanks to his incredibly tough back shell, Mighty has the unique ability to roll into a ball to bounce off sharp spikes and deflect enemy projectiles without suffering the slightest damage, making him a true defensive tank in the Sonic universe.
