Meet Tetsuo Yabusame, the protagonist of Snowball Earth, with this figurine from the OSHI WORKS range produced by Kotobukiya. Measuring approximately 21 cm in height, this pre-painted figure depicts the young pilot in a non-scale format, yet offers a size similar to that of a scale model, in keeping with the concept of this collection, which is designed to combine high-quality presentation with ease of display.
Tetsuo is depicted standing in a resolute pose, firmly planted on the frozen ground. Kotobukiya has designed this pose to evoke both his desire to protect his companions and his determination to continue the fight for the future of humanity in a world entirely covered in ice. The sculpting and colour scheme highlight his silhouette as well as the various details of his outfit, as seen in the anime adaptation.
Like other OSHI WORKS models, the figurine comes with a dedicated square base featuring a printed metal plate. A system of magnets built into the figurine allows you to reposition it freely on the base. This feature also makes it easy to display several characters from the same series on a single base, notably Ao Nogi, who is also available in the Snowball Earth collection.

Tetsuo Yabusame is the protagonist of *Snowball Earth*, a science fiction manga by Yuhiro Tsujitsugu adapted into an animated series in 2026. Extremely shy and uncomfortable with human interaction, for a long time Tetsuo had only one true friend: Yukio, a gigantic combat robot whose official name is Snowman. Together, they belong to the kaiju-fighting organisation E-RDE and battle the galactic monsters threatening Earth.
Despite his reserved nature, Tetsuo is a particularly skilled pilot, and the duo he forms with Yukio is regarded as one of humanity’s ‘saviours’. During the decisive battle against the alien creatures, however, events lead him far from Earth. When he finally returns, ten years have passed and the planet he once knew has changed completely.
Tetsuo then discovers a Earth covered in snow and ice, now known as Snowball Earth. In this new environment, he must understand what has happened during his absence, meet the communities that have survived the climate upheaval, and continue on his way whilst keeping in mind the promise he made to Yukio: to succeed in making a friend.
The pose chosen by Kotobukiya for this OSHI WORKS figurine precisely reflects this new stage in his journey: Tetsuo strides across the frozen Earth, determined to protect those he meets and to help rebuild humanity’s future.
