Character background and lore

Rimuru Tempest is the protagonist of *That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime*. Before his new life in a fantasy world, he was a Japanese office worker named Satoru Mikami. After his death, he is reborn in the unexpected form of a slime, a creature generally considered weak in fantasy worlds. Thanks to his unique abilities, however, he quickly becomes one of the most powerful beings in this new world.

In the moments immediately following his reincarnation, Rimuru acquires special skills such as ‘Predator’, which allows him to absorb and analyse the abilities of other creatures. His intelligence, composure and ability to understand other peoples gradually enable him to forge alliances between different races of monsters and humans.

He then founded the Jura Tempest Federation, a nation where different species can coexist. Unlike leaders who rule solely through force, Rimuru generally favours diplomacy, cooperation and the building of a stable society, although he remains capable of unleashing immense power when his allies are threatened. 

This soft toy accurately depicts Rimuru’s first appearance: the little blue slime whose adorable exterior conceals a strategist, a leader and an extremely powerful fighter. The contrast between his simple appearance and his significance in the story is one of the key elements of the character’s charm.
