Origin and background of the character
Released in 1989, *The Little Mermaid* is an undisputed masterpiece from Disney Studios that revitalised the animated musical film genre. Ariel, the young and independent princess of the oceans, is driven by a boundless fascination for the human world. This special ‘Princess Holiday’ collection reimagines the heroine with her flamboyant hair in a cosy winter setting, far from the depths of Atlantica. To celebrate her very first snowy season on dry land alongside Prince Eric, the princess swaps her aquatic look for an elegant, protective winter dress inspired by traditional festive textures. This Funko Pop! figurine beautifully captures Ariel’s look of wonder as she sees her first snowflakes, making it a magical must-have for all fans of classic animation.
