Origin and world of the character
Herbizarre (Ivysaur) is an iconic Plant and Poison Pokémon from the first generation of pocket monsters discovered in the Kanto region, launched by Nintendo and Game Freak in 1996. It was the first evolution of the famous starting Pokémon Bulbizarre, before reaching its ultimate final form, Florizarre. As it evolved, the small bulb on its back was transformed into a large pink flower bud supported by sturdy leaves. The weight of this flower expands the musculature of its hind legs, indicating the creature's growing vegetal power. Famous for his determined temperament and his appearance in the animated TV series and retro video game saga, Herbizarre is the perfect embodiment of nostalgia and the force of nature within the franchise.
