This Banpresto figurine depicts Terrible Tornado, also known by her Japanese name Tatsumaki, one of the most powerful heroines in *One-Punch Man*. Part of the MAXIMATIC collection, it measures approximately 19 cm and particularly highlights her psychic powers through an ethereal and highly dynamic composition.
Tatsumaki is depicted suspended above a large whirlwind of translucent green psychic energy. Her legs are tucked in front of her, whilst her arms adopt two different poses: one with her index finger raised and the other stretched outwards. This pose gives the impression that she is directly controlling the forces around her and visually captures her telekinetic abilities.
Her short green hair is sculpted into numerous curled strands that accentuate the figure’s overall sense of movement. She wears her famous long, form-fitting black dress, the slits and lower panels of which billow widely around her legs as if lifted by her power. The contrast between the black dress, the green hair and the translucent effect of the base gives this version a particularly striking presence. Banpresto specifically highlights the movement of the costume and hair as central features of this MAXIMATIC.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Terrible Tornado, whose real name is Tatsumaki, is a Class S professional heroine ranked 2nd within the Heroes’ Association. The anime’s official website describes her as an esper capable of eliminating monsters using her supernatural powers, and as one of the Association’s most powerful assets. Despite her small stature, she possesses considerable psychic power.
Her abilities are primarily based on psychokinesis. Tatsumaki can move objects and opponents from a distance, levitate and fight by directly manipulating her surroundings. This mastery explains the numerous spiral effects and green energy traditionally associated with the character, which are faithfully reproduced in the design of this MAXIMATIC figurine.
Tatsumaki is also the elder sister of Fubuki, known as Hellish Blizzard. Fubuki also possesses psychic powers, but is a Class B hero and leads the Blizzard Group. Their relationship is characterised by a significant difference in power and by Tatsumaki’s particularly protective and authoritarian nature towards her sister. The official One-Punch Man website explicitly confirms their family connection.
During the conflict against the Monster Association, Tatsumaki is among the Class S heroes involved in the operation against their enemies and becomes one of the Hero Association’s key assets. This MAXIMATIC figurine specifically highlights this image of an all-powerful psychic fighter, with a levitating pose and a vast green whirlwind that directly evokes the use of her powers.
