Origin and background of the character
Vista, universally feared under the alias ‘Vista of the Flowering Swords’, is the former commander of the Fifth Division of the Whitebeard Pirates, from the global epic One Piece created by manga artist Eiichiro Oda. Recognised by the World Government and his peers as one of the most powerful swordsmen on the planet, Vista is renowned for his absolute mastery of the two-sword style (Nitoryu). His fame is such that he was able to rival the skill of and stand up to the world’s greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk, during the legendary Battle of Marineford, without showing the slightest sign of weakness.
This 14 cm figurine from the "Battle Record" collection perfectly captures all the theatrical presence and martial agility of the hero in the midst of displaying his art. The sculpture meticulously highlights his athletic build, his open-fronted black top, his dark cape with contrasting lapels, his signature top hat, and his famous bushy handlebar moustache. His two drawn sabres evoke the projection of his sharp techniques, enveloped in rose petals. This is an absolute must-have piece for any collector wishing to assemble Edward Newgate’s elite lieutenants and celebrate the noble combat of this legendary swordsman.
