Origin and background of the character
Shanks the Red is one of the most influential, respected and charismatic characters in the One Piece pirate saga, created by the brilliant mangaka Eiichiro Oda. A former member of the crew of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger alongside Buggy the Clown, he later founded the Red-Haired Pirates and quickly rose to the rank of Emperor of the New World. As Monkey D. Luffy’s spiritual mentor, it was he who entrusted him with his precious straw hat and instilled in him the desire to set sail, even sacrificing his left arm to save him from a sea monster. A legendary master of Haki, his mere presence was enough to halt the war at the summit of Marineford.
This 10 cm figurine brilliantly captures the refined aesthetic of this legendary pirate. The sculpture ingeniously incorporates transparent elements to give depth to his aura and bring his fighting energy to life. His famous flowing black cloak, his distinctive red hair, the three scars on his left eye, and his Gryphon sword are all rendered with detailed painting. This figurine is a must-have for any collector keen to assemble the Emperors of the range, particularly alongside the Buggy and Marshall D. Teach figurines from the same collection.
