Based on the One Piece series, this Banpresto figurine depicts Scopper Gaban in his current appearance from the Elbaf arc. A former member of Gol D. Roger’s crew, the character joins the KING OF ARTIST collection here in a figurine standing approximately 23 cm tall.
The figurine captures Gaban’s aged appearance: particularly voluminous white hair and beard, round sunglasses and a broad smile revealing all his teeth. He wears a red short-sleeved shirt adorned with large yellow and orange floral patterns, paired with dark shorts and tall blue boots. Several details, notably the wrinkles on his face and the marks visible on his forearms, contribute to the character’s aged appearance.
Here, Scopper Gaban strikes an upright and particularly confident pose, with his arms crossed over his chest and his legs slightly apart. The KING OF ARTIST collection thus prioritises a depiction centred on his build and expression rather than a battle scene, highlighting this new appearance, which is now central to the Elbaf arc.
Scopper Gaban is a former member of the legendary Roger Pirates, the crew led by Gol D. Roger, the first man to be crowned Pirate King. The official One Piece profile notes that he fought with two axes and was already distinguished by his long hair and spectacles.
Although he remained a relatively mysterious figure for a long time despite his appearances in flashbacks dedicated to the Roger Pirates, Gaban takes on a much more prominent role during the Elbaf arc. He is presented there as the ‘left-hand man of the Pirate King’, and the official anime describes him as a man who once fought alongside Roger and Silvers Rayleigh. When Luffy meets him in an ancient castle in Elbaf, Gaban happens to be in possession of the key needed to free Loki and refuses to hand it over without putting Luffy to the test.
The arc also reveals that Gaban settled in Elbaf after Roger’s era. Volume 113 confirms, in particular, that Colon is his son, whilst Gaban intervenes once more when the Divine Knights threaten the children and the island’s symbolic sites.
This KING OF ARTIST figurine depicts precisely this recent incarnation of Scopper Gaban: a former pirate now in his twilight years, dressed casually, but still portrayed in the story as one of the major fighters of the older generation of the Roger Pirates.
