History and background of the model
Created by mangaka Eiichiro Oda in 1997, Monkey D. Luffy is a young pirate whose body has acquired the properties of rubber after eating a Demon Fruit. His ultimate goal is to cross the Grand Line to find the legendary One Piece treasure and become King of the Pirates. The Jolly Roger (the flag representing a skull wearing a straw hat) is the sacred emblem of his crew, symbolising their freedom, their promises and their unbreakable bonds in the face of threats from the World Government and the Navy.
Produced by Funko, this exclusive version of Luffy brandishing his colours captures the spirit of adventure and determination of the captain of the Merry and Sunny, making it an ideal item for fans of the Wano saga or the Egghead Island arc.
