ONE PIECE - Monkey D.Luffy East Blue - Figure Anime Heroes 17cm

See Monkey D. Luffy just as he appeared at the start of his adventure in East Blue with this 17 cm articulated figure from Bandai’s Anime Heroes range. This version captures the iconic look of the future captain of the Straw Hat crew during the early arcs of One Piece and allows you to recreate various poses thanks to its numerous points of articulation.

The figure recreates Luffy’s classic outfit: his straw hat with a red band, his black hair, his red sleeveless waistcoat, his blue trousers rolled up above the knees, and his sandals. This deliberately simple design directly matches the character’s appearance during his early adventures in East Blue, before the many changes to his outfit as his journey progressed.

With 16 points of articulation, the figure can strike various combat poses or poses inspired by the anime. Several interchangeable hands are also included to alter Luffy’s gestures and vary his display. Its 17 cm size matches the standard scale of the Anime Heroes collection, making it easy to display alongside other One Piece characters in this range.

The figure is made from PVC and comes in an Anime Heroes display box featuring One Piece-themed artwork. Its articulation and accessories make it suitable for both play and display in a collection dedicated to the series.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Monkey D. Luffy is the main hero of One Piece. Originally from the village of Fuchsia in the East Blue, he developed a deep admiration for pirates from a young age after meeting Red-Haired Shanks. It was also during this time that he gained his powers after eating a Devil Fruit, giving his body elastic properties. Before leaving the village, Shanks entrusted him with his famous straw hat, and Luffy promised to become a great pirate before returning it to him.

Ten years later, Luffy sets sail with a goal as simple as it is ambitious: to find the One Piece and become the Pirate King. The East Blue arc recounts the early stages of this adventure as well as the initial formation of his crew. There, he meets Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji, each pursuing their own dream and gradually becoming members of the Straw Hat crew.

This Anime Heroes figurine captures precisely this formative period of the series. The hat entrusted to him by Shanks and Luffy’s red and blue outfit have become inseparable from the character’s image at the start of his journey, when he leaves East Blue to head for the Grand Line with his first companions.
