Origin and background of the character
Monkey D. Dragon is the charismatic and mysterious leader of the Revolutionary Army, from the One Piece pirate universe created by manga artist Eiichiro Oda. Designated by the World Government as “the world’s most wanted criminal”, he wages a relentless global struggle to overthrow the tyranny of the Celestial Dragons and liberate oppressed peoples. Son of the legendary Navy Vice-Admiral Monkey D. Garp and biological father of Monkey D. Luffy, Dragon remains a deeply enigmatic figure who operates in the shadows, his appearances often accompanied by powerful storms.
This 20 cm figure from the "DXF-Special" collection brilliantly captures the character’s aura of mystery and unwavering determination. It meticulously highlights his long green travelling cloak with its ample, flowing folds, his spiky black hair, and his distinctive red facial tattoo on the left side of his face. The upright posture and steely gaze perfectly convey the dramatic intensity of this spiritual leader, making it a highly symbolic and essential piece to complete the "Monkey" family line-up alongside Garp and Luffy.
