Origin and background of the character
Kuzan, better known by his former alias Admiral Aokiji, is one of the most powerful, respected and ambiguous figures in the One Piece pirate epic, created by the genius mangaka Eiichiro Oda. Possessing the devastating powers ofthe Hie Hie no Mi(Frost-Frost Fruit), this proponent of ‘lazy justice’ is capable of instantly freezing vast stretches of ocean or shattering his opponents with a single gesture. Following his historic defeat by Sakazuki (Akainu) in the battle for the position of Fleet Admiral during an epic duel on Punk Hazard, Kuzan chose to leave the Navy. He now sails the treacherous waters of the New World, having, against all odds, joined Blackbeard’s crew as the tenth pirate captain.
This 15 cm figurine from the "Battle Record" collection captures with great realism the character’s nonchalant yet formidable presence as he unleashes his full power. The sculpture meticulously highlights his solitary traveller’s style of dress, with his long coat of flowing folds, his cap, and his expressive face marked by his Olympian calm. It is an absolute must-have for any collector wishing to illustrate the power of the ice and the major strategic upheavals of the saga.
