Mighty Jaxx continues its exploration of the Egghead arc in One Piece with the second instalment of its XXRAY collection. Designed in collaboration with artist Jason Freeny, this series reimagines the characters in his signature anatomical style: one half of each figure retains its external appearance, whilst the other reveals a stylised interpretation of the skeleton and internal anatomy.
This Part 2 features Brook, Jewelry Bonney, Tony Tony Chopper, Monkey D. Luffy in his Gear 5 form, Sanji and Dr Vegapunk. The characters are dressed in their outfits from the Egghead arc and strike poses that emphasise the retro-futuristic aesthetic of the laboratory island. A rare figurine may also be included, but it is not guaranteed in every display.
Jason Freeny’s XXRAY concept offers an original take on the One Piece characters by combining figurine design with imaginative anatomical representation. The cut-away designs allow you to see both the characters’ usual appearance and their internal anatomy at the same time, creating a particularly striking contrast with the futuristic costumes of the Egghead arc.
The product is presented as a display containing 6 Blind Boxes. Mighty Jaxx states that a full tray of six boxes contains no duplicates from its standard range, whilst the inclusion of the rare character remains random. Each figure measures approximately 10 cm, a size suitable for display in a showcase or on a collector’s shelf.

Origin and character lore
The Egghead arc takes place after the events of Wano and leads the Straw Hat crew to Egghead, a futuristic island home to Dr Vegapunk’s laboratories. Regarded as one of the greatest scientists in the One Piece world, Vegapunk develops technologies far ahead of their time, giving the island its distinctive appearance – a blend of science fiction, experimental machinery and futuristic architecture.
Monkey D. Luffy and his crew soon discover that their arrival on Egghead is part of a much larger scheme. Luffy has now mastered his Gear 5 transformation, whilst Sanji, Chopper and Brook become involved in the events surrounding Vegapunk and his research. Jewelry Bonney also plays a central role in this arc, her personal quest being closely linked to the scientist and the secrets of the World Government.
The Egghead arc marks a significant milestone in the One Piece narrative, gradually revealing new information about the world’s history, Vegapunk’s research and the forces seeking to control them. The technological aesthetic of this part of the story lends itself particularly well to Jason Freeny’s XXRAY style, in which he combines the characters’ futuristic appearance with his concept of dissected anatomical figurines.
