NINTENDO - Super Mario - Hardshell Case

NINTENDO – Super Mario – Large hard-shell pencil case

Store pens, pencils and other small accessories in this Super Mario hard-shell pencil case, designed by Pyramid International under official Nintendo licence.

Unlike a standard fabric pencil case, this model features a hard plastic shell that provides enhanced protection for its contents. Its zip fastening keeps stationery secure whilst on the move, whilst its thickness of approximately 4.5 to 5 cm provides ample space for various writing accessories or small everyday items.

Its compact size means it slips easily into a rucksack, whilst remaining more resistant to pressure and knocks than a soft pencil case. It is therefore equally suitable for school use, in the office, or as a small storage pouch for fans of the Super Mario universe.

Origin and lore

Mario is the main hero of the Mushroom Kingdom and one of the central characters in the Nintendo universe. Instantly recognisable by his red cap, moustache and blue overalls, he regularly accompanies his brother Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad and Yoshi on their many adventures. Nintendo portrays him as a brave character who is always ready to spring into action when the Mushroom Kingdom is under threat.

Whilst Mario is traditionally known as a plumber, his adventures have seen him take on many other roles. In particular, he takes part in kart races, tennis, golf and baseball competitions, using his jumping skills and various power-ups to take on his opponents, foremost among whom is Bowser.

This hard-shell case thus incorporates the visual identity of one of the most recognisable characters in video games into a practical accessory designed for storing and carrying everyday supplies.
