This officially licensed Nintendo decorative lamp is modelled on the legendary Master Sword, one of the most iconic weapons in *The Legend of Zelda* series. Manufactured by Paladone, it measures approximately 30 cm in height and features the sword standing upright in its base, just as it does when waiting to be drawn by the hero. It serves both as a mood light and a decorative item for fans of the world of Hyrule.
The design is directly inspired by the Master Sword as it appears in *The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess*. The blade has a silver finish, whilst the distinctive hilt is rendered in shades of purple and blue. The sword is set in a grey base reminiscent of its pedestal, the front of which bears the golden Triforce symbol.
The Triforce logo on the base also serves as a control to switch the lighting on or off. Once switched on, the lamp casts a soft glow around the base of the Master Sword, highlighting the sword’s silhouette without turning the whole piece into a main light source. Its size means it can be placed on a desk, a shelf or in a display cabinet dedicated to The Legend of Zelda.
The lamp can be powered in two ways: via a USB connection using the supplied cable, or with three AA batteries. Batteries are not included, allowing you to choose between a permanent wired setup and standalone use without any visible cables.

Origin and background of the franchise (Lore)
The Master Sword is the legendary weapon most closely associated with Link in The Legend of Zelda series. It appears in numerous instalments and is often a major milestone in the hero’s quest before his confrontation with the forces threatening Hyrule. Nintendo emphasises its importance by presenting it as Link’s weapon of choice and as a true extension of the hero himself.
The sword is notably one of the iconic items introduced in *The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past*. In Ocarina of Time, it rests in the Temple of Time: when the young Link removes it from its pedestal, he sets in motion a chain of events that leads to his awakening seven years later as the Hero of Time.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, meanwhile, delves into the origins of this legendary weapon. Nintendo has confirmed that the game’s story was designed specifically to explain the origins of the Master Sword, making this instalment one of the foundational chapters in its mythology.
In Twilight Princess – the design of which this lamp directly draws upon – Link must once again find the Master Sword to continue his quest and battle the forces plunging Hyrule into Twilight. The image of the sword sheathed in its pedestal has become one of the franchise’s most instantly recognisable images, which Paladone has recreated here in the form of a 30 cm decorative lamp.
