Origin and world of the character
The character of Shoto Todoroki comes from the famous shonen manga My Hero Academia, written and drawn by Kōhei Horikoshi, and its successful worldwide animated TV adaptation produced by the Bones studio from 2016. The plot takes place in a world where almost the entire world's population possesses superpowers called "Alters". Shoto is one of the brightest and most promising students in Class 1-A at the prestigious U.A. (Yuei) High School. The son of Endeavor, one of the most powerful professional heroes, he has inherited an exceptional alter called "Half Cold Half Hot". This gift gives him the power to generate devastating flames with the left side of his body and to manipulate ice with his right. Initially aloof and haunted by a dark family past, Shoto evolves through contact with rivals and friends such as Izuku Midoriya, learning to fully accept his abilities and become a just and accomplished symbol of peace.
