Katsuki Bakugo is one of the main characters in My Hero Academia and the long-standing rival ofIzuku Midoriya, whom he has known since childhood.
A pupil in Class 1-A at Yuei High School, Bakugo stands out for his exceptional fighting skills, great tactical intelligence and an extremely strong ambition: to become a hero capable of surpassing all others.
His Quirk, Explosion, allows him to secrete a nitroglycerine-like substance from his palms and then detonate it at will. He uses this ability both to attack and to propel himself at high speed or to abruptly change his trajectory during a confrontation.
Bakugo has a particularly fiery temperament. Arrogant, impatient and highly competitive, he has long regarded victory as the ultimate proof of a hero’s worth.
His time at Yuei, however, forces him to rethink this view. Through his interactions with Deku, All Might and the other pupils in Class 1-A, he gradually comes to realise that becoming a great hero does not simply mean defeating one’s opponent, but also being able to protect and save others.
His rivalry with Izuku Midoriya remains one of the series’ major storylines. Whilst he once regarded Deku as vastly inferior, the latter’s spectacular progress prompts Bakugo to question himself and constantly refine his own fighting style.
In *My Hero Academia: You’re Next*, Bakugo once again fights alongside Deku and Shoto Todoroki against a threat directly linked to All Might’s symbolic legacy. The film’s official website confirms that Katsuki Bakugo is among the central characters in this adventure.
The main antagonist, Dark Might, seeks to appropriate the image of the Symbol of Peace, whilst the criminal organisation Gorrini poses a new threat to a society already deeply weakened.
This confrontation places Bakugo in a situation that particularly highlights his development: he is no longer fighting solely to prove that he is the best, but as a true hero capable of fighting alongside those he once regarded merely as rivals.
This Trio-Try-iT figurine thus highlights all the energy that defines Katsuki Bakugo: fierce determination, a spectacular fighting style and a constant drive to push his own limits.
