Origin and character’s universe
Directly inspired by the major narrative reboot of the Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) fighting video game developed by NetherRealm Studios, this figure depicts the former champion of the Earth Realm, elevated to the rank of supreme deity, Liu Kang. After merging with Raiden and defeating the guardian of time, Kronika, in the previous instalment, he inherits the hourglasses of time and shapes a brand-new, peaceful reality in his own image. Now invested with the title of God of Fire and Protector of Earth, he oversees the ancestral tournament whilst ensuring the balance of forces in gaming pop culture against the threats lurking in the shadows.
This Funko Pop! captures his iconic divine attributes with great graphic fidelity and meticulous detail, characterised by his incandescent white eyes, his long black hair adorned with a headband, his detailed red and white ceremonial outfit, and the mystical tattoos that run along his arms. An absolutely exceptional choice to take pride of place alongside Scorpion and lend a legendary dimension to your display cabinet.
