Origin and world of the character (Lore)
First appearing in the Despicable Me franchise, the Minions are multicellular little yellow creatures who exist only to serve the most ambitious and diabolical masters in history. The feature film Minions 2: Once Upon a Time Gru, released in 2022, takes audiences back to the heart of the 1970s and recounts the meeting and first missions of these boisterous assistants alongside twelve-year-old Felonius Gru. Stuart, recognisable by his middle-combed hairdo and relaxed musician's attitude, adopts a style typical of the disco and roller-skating era in this sequence, reflecting the retro and festive atmosphere of this opus.
