Meet Pietro Maximoff, alias Quicksilver, with this Funko Marvel POP! figure No. 1662 from the MCU Archives / Marvel Studios The Infinity Saga collection. This new figure is a direct recreation of the character as portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in *Avengers: Age of Ultron*.
Standing approximately 10 cm tall, the figure depicts Quicksilver in a running pose characteristic of his super-speed power. His body is leaning forwards and held above a circular base by a transparent support, giving the impression that Pietro is racing across the scene at full speed.

Character background and lore
Pietro Maximoff is the twin brother of Wanda Maximoff. Originally from Sokovia, the two children lost their parents when an explosion destroyed their flat. A weapon manufactured by Stark Industries was implicated in the tragedy, fuelling the twins’ deep hostility towards Tony Stark.
Pietro and Wanda subsequently took part in experiments conducted by HYDRA involving Loki’s sceptre. These experiments granted them extraordinary abilities: Wanda, in particular, developed mental and telekinetic powers, whilst Pietro acquired superhuman speed and reflexes suited to his extremely rapid movements.
In *Avengers: Age of Ultron*, the twins initially confront the Avengers and ally themselves with Ultron, who exploits their resentment towards Tony Stark. However, they gradually realise that the artificial intelligence intends to destroy humanity and decide to switch sides.
Pietro then joins the Avengers in their final battle to protect Sokovia. During the battle, he uses his speed one last time to save several people and sacrifices himself under fire from Ultron’s forces. His death deeply affects Wanda and marks one of the key events in her development within the MCU.
